Stretto 3 is published!

On Wednesday, the 27^th of May 2020, the Bundesrat [= Swiss Federal Council] decided to bring the revised Stretto 3 regulations into force per the 1^st of July 2020. In terms of food supplements, Stretto 3 signifies major changes in relation to both the maximum levels for vitamins, minerals and other substances as well as to permissible substances. In particular the low maximum zinc level, i.e. 5.3 mg, and the ban on all vitamin A compounds - with the exception of the provitamin a β-carotene - will mean that some formulas will have to be changed. You can find the provisional texts by clicking the following link. On 3^rd of June – an adapted transition phase of two years has been published. Products may be produced using the usual formulas and labelling up until the 30^th of June 2022. Thereafter, stock will be allowed to be sold off until it runs out.
