Focus on food supplements

For about a year now, two FAQ papers for companies and consumers have been available on the FSVO website. They provide a brief, helpful overview of the most important points relating to food supplements. In particular, businesses that are new to the sector are provided with the most important information (German/French and Italian versions only) and links that can enable them to enter the market legally. Hot topics such as CBD, plant extracts, maximum quantities, differentiation from medicinal products, novel foods, food supplements for different population groups (e.g. children), labelling and import are addressed. The leaflet for consumers (German/French and Italian versions only) provides an insight into the purpose of a food supplement and can be helpful for positioning questions.
