Submission of an Application by a Representative

How does the submission of an application using a representative work?

If an applicant appoints a representative for an application procedure, all submissions by the same should be accepted (when these are within the scope of the power of attorney). An authorised foreign company may legally sign and submit Swissmedic forms, if and insofar as this activity is covered by the power of attorney. Legally binding documents such as preliminary decisions and approvals from Swissmedic are always sent to a Swiss address. If a representative is employed, such documents are sent to the Swiss address of the representative or, if the same does not have a Swiss address, directly to the Swiss marketing authorisation holder. The power of attorney must be submitted under “add info”.
